Experienced technology professional with 20 plus years of hands on hardware deployment and software development expertise. Proven technical leadership with both very large scale (FedEx) and small scale (dot com) development projects, hardware rollouts and networking infrastructure upgrades. Comfortable, effective and productive working at all levels of geek from coder to technical division level management to strategic direction charting at company officer level with corresponding responsibilities.

Successful in applying computer technology to a wide variety of business disciplines including logistics, foreign trade zone management, manufacturing, construction cost estimating, agricultural crop consulting and marketing, advertising agency related areas including creative (Mac/PC), media buying, accounting and web client solutions, audio/video studio planning & design and integration, financial management and home automation. Experienced with VMware, Parallels and other virtualization technologies.

Successful in technology environments from the 'figure it out as you go' start-ups/dot coms to the structured and version controlled Fortune 500 corporate ivory towers. Coded on and managed multi-million dollar software reverse engineering and rewrite projects, delivered a complete network replacement project which included 22 primary servers and 5TB of cross platform accessible storage (in 2000 this was a huge amount of storage) and more recently a needs analysis and detailed design/rollout for an EMC based high availability SAN implementation supporting RAID 10 and RAID 50 configurations across as many as 120 discrete hard drives, supported by auto switching - hot swappable spares.

Personal projects include photography - mainly with a Nikon D80 with 18-200 VR zoom, but have a decent collection of both traditional film and digital cameras to choose from. In addition, I have developed software tools and applications now in use with pilots and aviation enthusiasts worldwide (including myself, licensed private pilot since 1990). Current projects include building a 'smart cabin' using HomeSeer home automation technology, an assortment of internet cameras, telephone and web interfaces and most importantly - voice commands! :) I enjoy real estate investing, rehabbing, etc. and managing whatever leased properties I may be fortunate enough to own at the moment.

* Led network infrastructure upgrade efforts to improve performance and reliability of critical financial production systems.
* Established disaster recovery systems and procedures for corporate infrastructure.
* Support management with strategic technology planning guidance (software and hardware).
* Strategic needs analysis and detailed tech planning/design for high availability storage (SAN) solutions.
* Led PC upgrade project to roll-out 300 new desktops in 30 days with zero negative productivity impact.
